ED finds Patna connection in Hasan Ali's passport

The Enforcement Directorate upon interrogating tax evader Hassan Ali Khan found out that he had a passport issued in one of his many aliases from Patna by giving forged documents.

INFAMOUS TAX evader and stud farm owner Hasan Ali had a Patna connection for getting issued a passport on his name dates back to 1997. He used the address of Alamganj, which falls under Patna City area. This startling revelation came to light when the of Enforcement Directorate (ED) interrogated him on the charges of money laundering.

Soon after this the regional passport office of Patna registered a case with the Kotwali police station. Giving information the passport officer of Patna office said that Hasan Ali had used Patna as fake address for obtaining the passport. Earlier, he also used Hyderabad as fake address too.

Director General of Police (DGP) Neelmani said that the passport was issued in 1997. He said it is a matter of investigation who issued the passport without verifying the address and how Hasan Ali managed to get it.

SSP of Patna Alok Kumar said that criminal case under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 had been lodged with the concerned police station.

However, the earlier passports were issued in the name of terror mastermind Farhan Malik and Aftab Ansari by the regional passport office of Patna on the basis of forged document for all the wrong reasons.
