Eight process houses in Bhilwara to restart
Bhilwara will witness the restart of eight process houses, this was stated by head of the Rajasthan Pollution Control Board. These process houses will have to take pollution control measures and ensure that adequate equipment are installed.
THE EIGHT process houses, which had been closed in Bhilwara will restart again much to the relief of the workers. This decision was taken on September 18 at a meeting chaired by Rajasthan's Industries Minister, Rajendra Pareek. The Forest and Environment Minister, Ramlal Jat, the Chairman of Pollution Control Board, VS Singh and Principal Secretary, Industries, CS Rajan were also present in the meeting.
 
Chairman, Pollution Control Board, VS Singh informed that the 8 process houses which had been closed will be restarted again after they deposit a security amount of Rs 15 lakhs. These units will have to conform to the conditions and parameters laid down for pollution control within 3 months, failing which their security amount will be forfeited.
 
Singh further informed that Bhilwara's 21 process houses and one woolen mill will have to install electric sub-meters in their Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP). These units too will have to ensure that within 3 months no polluted water will come out from the units.
 
The Chairman of the Pollution Control Board also informed that a videography has been done for all the units in Bhilwara. After a period of 3 months, yet another videography will be done to observe the comparative situation among the units, and whether they had complied with the pollution parameters given in the stipulated time.
 
It was also informed that those units from which the water is coming out will have to increase the storage capacity of the water. Furthermore, the Bhilwara Nagar Parishad will get done the Reverse Osmosis (RO) of the polluted water.
