Kya Kool Hai Hum did not go well with movie critics and neither did Kya Super Kool Hai Hum. Apparently, this is definitely not going well with the director as critics thrashed her movie very early after its release.
IN TODAY'S entertainmentbusiness money speaks louder than words as Kya Super Kool Hai Hum according to director Ekta Kapoor was a hit and was the film with the highest Ramzan opening with 23 crores. However, whoever has seen the film has deterred this citizen journalist in wasting two hours of my life on something that is lackluster. Apparently, that is what the critics also want the audience to know, but this did not go down well particularly well with Ekta Kapoor.
While critics gave the film a poor rating, Ekta Kapoor in one of the success parties, went on to bash the critics in front of the media. She was attending a party with her marketing team and her brother Tushar Kapoor. When asked as to what she would like to say to her critics she went on a rant and said, “Actually critics very very openly talked about how much they hated the film. We gave them one more platform - the full page of Bombay Times to openly tell us what they feel about it. We really respect their views.”
Inspite of this respect as was reported by nnis, Ekta went on to say, “This time their voice was as shameless as the first.” The director is really happy with the figures she is getting after the release of the film. As it is a 4-year-old brand and so she was told that the overall haul for a weekend would be Rs. 10-15 crores, which was low given the present box office collections trend. However, after the film hit the Rs. 20 mark, Kapoor said that the feeling is 'overwhelming,' and thanked God for her success.
