What a brilliant piece of writing! Arunachal Pradesh is the only state in India having no opposition party. Hence, enormous corruption, as you've pointed out, is not surprising. Can democracy be effective without any political opposition to hold the govt accountable? Opposition MLAs who switch over to the govt side betray the people who have voted for them.
