Emotional Intelligence is a must in the corporate world
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is far from just a buzzword in the corporate world. Having emotional intelligence is all about thinking after taking into consideration associated and related feelings around decisions and people.

AS HAS already been established that having emotional intelligence matters as much as pure intellectual ability, if not more. Having this ability is critical to success - both at home as well as office. It is even more important in international relations and problem solving - given the fact that the Indian work place has become very challenging due to global trends affecting local business performance; global work teams and associated culture issues; and increased level of stress and unpredictability.

What emotional intelligence does is that it strengthens relationahips, ensures better prospects for professional success, and goes a long way in achievement of goals. Having and by developing emotional intelligence, an individual is able to tap into empathy to think and make decisions by taking into consideration possible fallouts than using just intellectual ability to make clear cut linear decisions. Emotional intelligence also enables managers and other professionals to cater better for contingencies and emergency situations.

An un-hurried way to look at things, positive communication, and having emotional stability while understanding others' vulnerabilities can help professionals in companies to deal with challenges.
