End racial profiling and incitement: United Nations on International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination
On the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, that was observed across the world on March 20 with the relevant theme "Racial profiling and incitement to hatred, including in the context of migration" since around the world extreme nationalist feelings are being provoked leading to widespread discriminatory practices such as 'racial, ethnic, religious and nationality based profiling, and incitement to hatred' feels the United Nations (UN).

On the occasion of the observance, The UN has reminded the world community that every person was entitled to human rights without discrimination.

A concern has been expressed for refugees and migrants being targets of racial profiling and incitement to hatred leading to enhanced hate crimes, hate speech and racial violence.

The UN has urged urged the world community to promote respect, safety and dignity for refugees and migrants. The public at large has been called upon to encourage and support actions in their daily lives to defend the human rights of others.

Here are my haiku as a message on this occasion.

Eschew intolerance

Discard hate-driven violence

Protect human rights.

Breed not divisiveness

Snub xenophobia.

Create not conflicts.

Dignity for all,

respecting diversity,

pluralism are must.
