energysavers.gov: Cash for appliances to save energy
THIS FRIDAY there is good news for householders, who want to by new home appliances as the New York Great appliance swap out program which essentially means Cash for Appliances that consume more energy and power.
THIS FRIDAY there is good news for householders, who want to by new home appliances as the New York Great appliance swap out program which essentially means Cash for Appliances that consume more energy and power, when you buy energy star rated appliances.
 
US government in a bid to reduce the consumption and wastage of power caused by inefficient electronic products has decided to launch the Cash for Appliances programme. The details of this programme are available at energysavers.gov.
 
Some of rebates are given below:
 
Refrigerators: $75 rebate. 
Washers: $75 dollar rebate or $100 with a recycling receipt
Freezers: $50 refund or $75 if you recycle the old one.
 
If you bundle all three items, or any two plus an Energy Star dishwasher, you can get a $500 rebate, $550 with recycling receipt. 
 
A budget of 17 million dollars has been provisioned to make cash for appliances programme a success in New York. The Cash for Appliances programme will end on February 21. Buyers can find more details about the "New York's Great Appliance Swap Out" and fill out a rebate application online at www.nyapplianceswapout.
