Engineers receive 10 day ultimatum from MCG chief to improve Gurgaon roads
One drive across the millennium city would be enough to notice the pathetic condition of roads in Gurgaon. The same was noticed by the chief minister's personal secretary when he visited the city, as a result of which the secretary went all out at the civic agencies for the poor condition of roads.

Praveen Kumar, MCG Chief has also been swift in taking an action and has hence instructed his engineers to improve the condition of such roads in Gurgaon within 10 days. These engineers have their work cut out as they need to plan it out before they start the process. The roads are also expected to be videographed before and after the repair work. Hence, there is a serious need for the engineers to provide good roads, which would sustain itself for a long time.

Gurgaon in spite of housing a number of corporate offices, expats does not reflect a good picture, even after a light shower. An hour of shower makes Gurgaon flood due to bad drainage system. Potholes are a common sight on Gurgaon roads. All such things are to be taken care of by these engineers. But is it possible that such roads can be repaired within 10 days?

"We are hopeful of being able to meet the 10-day deadline and have already started the repair work. We recently laid the road near MDI Chowk and have also created a slip road and reduced the size of the roundabout here, which will help in decongesting the area. We are also repairing stretches of the old and new railway roads and other areas in the old city," said an official, reported The Times of India.
