England and India eager to draw first blood in the ODI series
England and India would be engaged in an ODI series featuring 5 matches in India. Both teams are very eager to win the first match of the series to put them in good stead for the rest of the series.

THE FIRST ODI between England and India is scheduled to start tomorrow at Hyderabad. Both teams would like to kick off the series on a winning note, as it would be giving them the much-needed confidence for rest of the series. Hence, the team, which draws first blood, would be having a strong upper hand in the series.

The Indian team lost the last ODI series they played against England recently in a humiliating fashion, so they would be eyeing the series as a chance for them to take revenge upon the English team. The English team, on the other hand are very upbeat as they have been one of the in-form teams playing international cricket. So, a great series awaits us in the upcoming days.

If we look at both the teams, we have to agree that the English team looks a very strong outfit, as compared to the Indian team. But, the Indian team holds a great advantage as they would be playing in their home conditions, where they are a big threat to any team that play against them. Some Indian players such as MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Kohli, Praveen Kumar, and Gautam Gambhir need to step up their energy levels, as most of the senior and important Indian players are missing out in the series due to injury.

The English team has come to the Indian subcontinent with their best possible team featuring Ian Bell, A. Cook, J Trott, and also K. Pietersen who was rested for the ODI series in England. Kevin Pietersen would be their mainstay when it comes to batting as he is one of the finest players in the English batting line up, who plays spinners well.

The first match of the ODI series is expected to be watched by a full house crowd at Hyderabad. The Indian fans are not happy with the performance that the Indian team put during their last tour to England. So, they can please their fans by winning the first match of the series and get back the confidence that they seem to be lacking in their previous matches.
