England finally qualified for the final 16 stage with 1-0 victory in the final game against Slovenia on Wednesday, June 23.
ENGLAND FINALLY qualified for the final 16 stage with 1-0 victory in the final game against Slovenia on Wednesday, June 23. The England Vs Slovenia was played at Nelson Bay Stadium Mandelay.

 
Jermain Defoe scored the first goal in the 23rd minute for England. Until the first half ended the score remained 1-0 to England. With these three points, England advanced to the round of 16 large as the runner-up Group C. UK and U.S. have five points each.
 
In the 56th minute Gareth Barry’s corner was met on John Terry’s head in the pole away but could be pushed over Handanovic. In the 57th min, Rooney, who escaped the offside trap after receiving feedback but Lampard failed to kiss the net.
 
Till 68th min, England had almost conceded but due to a communication error between Terry and Glen Johnson, the latter was detained of a leg kick. And finally, the score of 1-0 was maintained until the end of the match.
 
So England knocked out Slovenia with 1-0, successfully.
