THE ZEAL to protect the environment compelled me to go for the plantation of few trees. In order to save them from the cattle i decided to go for the fencing. For that i bought steel rods and a net made of steel and coughed Rs 500 as labour to erect the structure. All was done in a day and i was ready to plant a neem tree, a mango tree and an ashok tree in that area. The place is just infront of my house and fencing was carried out infront of it and little bit extended to the front of my neighbour (Joshi's) place. To be precise one and half feet infront of his boundary wall.

But in the morning the two old man knocked my door and call me outside. They asked me What is this, why you have extended the fencing beyond your boundary. Sir it is a matter of a year or half, when trees will be beyond the reach of cattle and kids i will remove the fence, I pleaded. Do what ever you want to do, but within your limits, remove this fence they ordered and went away. But this was not the end.

After one hour i received a call from the landlord all the way from Pune and he lectured me on being a good neighbour and in the end asked me to remove the fence. The same good neighbour whose roof water was leaking to my bedrooms for last three years because he was fool enough to maintain the slope of his roof towards my plot when there was no construction.This year only he rectified the mistake.

Now the fencing has been removed and again i have to spend few hundred rupees to bring it back  into my limits. So dear reader when people around you are not ready to cooperate that too experienced and retiered persons on the pretext that trees are responsible for the garbage how young one can proceed to the environment protection.
