Epicentre's Family Sunday will be a hit
Famous for its cultural activities, Epicentre of Gurgaon started organizing Family Sundays also, which has already attracted many from the city. Given the massive response, another Family Sunday will be held next weekend on Feb 24 from 11am onwards.

“This will a fun filled Sunday with a range of customized Parent-Child joint activities that bring kids and parents together to spend time filled with discovery, creativity, joy and laughter, but above all togetherness,” an Epicentre official, not authorized to speak to the media, told this citizen journalist .

These family Sundays include 'NOW' and 'THEN" options. NOW option includes parent child workshops and sessions that are creative and contemporary, whereas THEN includes those activities which have vanished from metropolitan lives like swapping, exchange and airing, and sharing hobbies.

Amrita Lalji of Wide Aisle Productions will be conducting theatre workshop and theatre games. Pottery and Clay Modelling workshop, where one can experience the magic of creation at the potter’s wheel and yoga for the families are some of the activities which also will be the part of the Sunday.

Music lovers and musically gifted families and talents can sign up for the 'Performers Platform'-  a public platform to 'bond and band' together in which they can sing, play, dance and act as per their choice as a duo, trio, quartet or a family ensemble.

One of the highlights of ‘Family Sunday’ is the unique “Moneyless Flea market". Visitors can swap, exchange or gift away comics, books, stamps, coins, games that they have, with others at the exchange market.

Flea market is a starting activity of Sunday which will start by 11am and will continue till 5pm. Pottery & Clay Modelling workshop will be happening in two sessions. First session will be held from 11am to 1pm and second session from 2pm to 4pm, and is open to all age groups.

Theatre workshop will be happening between 2pm to 3:30pm for the kids, aged between 8 to 12 years. They can learn too many things under single roof by paying nominal registration fees of rupees 500 for both one parent and child.

And finally 'Family performance corner' will be set at 3:30pm. In this event, every child and his/her parents will be given 15 minutes to perform any dance, singing or any special talent which they have and for this they have to pay no registration fees.

“Pull out your goods to exchange, tune the guitars/sitars/ tabla and brush up your Act," the official added.
