EPL Preview : Liverpool Vs Southampton
Liverpool, who finished second in the last edition of the English Premier League are eager to kick start the season with a win against Southampton later tonight. The Liverpool team has undergone a wholesome change in the season, where Brendan Rodgers has brought in some quality players to challenge for the title.

Though, Liverpool might have added depth in the season, but they have lost one of their most prolific striker, Luis Suarez, who will be playing in the La Liga next season for Barcelona. In turn Liverpool received a huge sum of money, which Brendan Rodgers has put to good use.

The young manager has added in the right areas, which they lacked last season, especially in the back four, where they were very weak. Liverpool has signed Manquillo, Moreno and Lovren, who could all start against Southampton, while their midfield has received a major boost by signing Emre Can and Adam Lallana, while Morkovic as a winger.

But, their main problem lie with their forward line, as they have not even found a close replacement for Luis Suarez. Though, they have signed Lambert, they lack the firepower when Sturridge is injured, else they look a soild team, who may challenge for the title this season. With around a fortnight left for the transfer window to close, Liverpool are eager to sign a proven forward. They have been linked to several players such as Cavani, Falcao, Reus etc, but all these players seem to be out of reach for the reds.

Southampton has suffered badly at the hands of Liverpool, if they have lost three of their best players, Lambert and Lallana to the reds during the transfer window, but they have conducted a fair business on their own by signing Shane Long and Foster as their goalie. They have money in their hands, it is just that they need to sign the right players, like Liverpool have done, which fit according to their style of play.
