EPL preview: Chelsea Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Chelsea would want to start the year on a high when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers later today. Chelsea lost its last match against Aston Villa.

CHELSEA PLAYERS were disappointed as they lost their previous match in the EPL against Aston Villa, by a score line of 3–0, though, they were considered favourites to win the match. Hence, they would be going all out when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers later today at Molineux. Wolves, on the other hand, drew with Bolton in their last EPL game. Chelsea's loss against Aston Villa was unacceptable, as they had a chance to move up in the table, which they failed to capitalise after both the Manchester clubs lost their respective matches.

It would be their first game of the year; hence they would like to kick start with a bang by winning their first match. Chelsea, before the start of the season was one of the strong contenders for the EPL title, but they have been lagging behind in the race. Chelsea lies at the 5th place with just 34 points. Wolverhampton has been struggling in the bottom half of the standings, where they lie just above the relegation zone. They have 17 points from 19 games, which does not even figure a point per match.

Wolverhampton have to play out of their skin in order to come with a positive result against a determined looking Chelsea outfit, who wants to win each game they play in the future. Wolves players such as Ward, Jarvis, and Fletcher really need to up their game, if they are to shock the Chelsea team once again in quick succession. Mick McCarthy, Wolves manager has already brought in 2 new players, Eggert Jonsson and Emmanuel Frimpong, but they might not be thrown into such a team against Chelsea. They could be a surprise element if they get a chance to play in the game.

Chelsea manager, Andre Villas Boas future might be under threat as the cash rich club may look for options elsewhere if he produces similar performance. So there is lot of stake for him in the future matches. He needs to come up with good team selection, which has not been sorted out. He has also not been able to bring the best out of Fernando Torres, which has been a disturbing sight for the both the manager and the player.

Chelsea is already in trouble, as they have their major players such as Drogba and Sturridge struggling with injuries, hence they might not take the field. It could also be a blessing in disguise, as Torres might be given the chance to prove himself once again. He needs to impress his fans, manager, and club etc., as he has been devoid of a good performance in Chelsea colours. Wolves will, in all probability be missing the services of Nenad Milijas and Ronald Zubar.
