Bolton has to come up with a spirited display on their home ground, as they have the worst loss record during the season, as of now. They have lost 15 matches and won only 5. They would be determined, not to make it their 16th loss against Liverpool. Bolton players like David Ngog, a former Liverpool player, needs to up their game and Ngog knows the Liverpool defence like the back of his hand. Owen Coyle, Bolton’s manager, would want him to exploit their weak links, if any, but it could be an uphill task for Bolton to break their defence, which has been one of the best throughout the season.
Liverpool has been playing well this season but they have not been able to put the ball in the back of the net , as witnessed against Stoke in their last match, where they created lots of chances but could not covert any. It has been a great concern and Luis Suarez ban does not help their cause either. Though players such as Gerrard, and Bellamy have given some inspiring performances recently, but Carroll’s form has been a subject to criticism. Though, their opponent manager, Coyle believes Carroll will find his form soon, reported Sky Sports.
The match is expected to be played at a high tempo, though Liverpool is considered favourites to walk away with game. But one cannot count away any team in the EPL, as a lower ranked team in the EPL could beat a higher placed team. Such is the level of competition.
