EPL Preview: Manchester United Vs Wigan Athletic
Manchester United is all set for a clash against Wigan Athletic later today at Old Trafford. United are favourites to win the game but Wigan would give their best, as they would try to come out of the relegation zone.

MANCHESTER UNITED thrashed Fulham 5-0 in their last EPL before Christmas and they would be eager to put up a similar performance when they play against Wigan later today at Old Trafford. Manchester United looked comfortable in previous matches, as they are currently placed second on the table with 42 points, just two points behind the leader, Manchester City. Wigan, on the other hand has been suffering, as they lie in the relegation zone on 18th place with mere 14 points.

Manchester United needs to come up with another good performance against Wigan, as a slip up would cost them dearly. It could also give Manchester City a chance to widen the gap with their victory. Manchester United has been playing consistently, especially their offensive line, which has been creating troubles for many teams in the EPL. Players such as Rooney, Gigs, Hernandez, and Nani have always put their team in commanding position with their characteristic display on the field.

Wigan has been one of the teams this season who have not been able to find the back of the net, as they have only scored 15 goals during the season so far, the lowest in EPL. They do have some players who can be a serious threat in front of the goalpost; especially players like Rodallega can create trouble for the Manchester United’s defense. Players such as Alcaraz, Figueroa, Moses, Gomez need to rise up to the occasion and spring up a surprise for Manchester United by defeating them at their own backyard, Old Trafford.

Ashley Young of Manchester United would miss the game due to injury and Steve Gohouri may also miss the game for Wigan. It may be a game between the team placed in the top half and bottom half of the EPL table, but making no mistake, the Wigan team would go down fighting, even if Manchester have been tagged as favourites .
