Though, some EPL fixtures for the weekend has been postponed, the excitement surrounding the EPL never seems to diminish with some mouth watering clashes still in the offing. Chelsea's match against Tottenham Hotspur tops the list over the weekend, which is scheduled to be played later today at Stamford Bridge.
There is a difference of 10 points between these two teams, but they have a lot to play for, where Chelsea is challenging for the title and Tottenham on the other hand are eager to grab the Champions League spot. With just 10 games to play for both the clubs, this fixture is considered to be an important one and could play an integral part as to where they would finish, when the season comes to an end.
Chelsea has looked great all season and the credit to a large extent goes to the performance of Eden Hazard, which has been truly sensational. It is not only Hazard, but other players such as Oscar, Ramires, Willian, who have been playing equally well to make the Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho proud of the team. But, it is no secret that the 'special one' has been disappointed with his strikers, namely Ba, Torres and Eto'o, who have found it hard to find the back of the net.
But, his players always put their feet on the pedal when required,as was witnessed when Schurrle scored a hat-trick to help Chelsea win. The team looks a strong side on paper and with the bench players at their disposal, they are favourites.
Tottenham Hotspur fans would also consider their team as favourites with the tremendous run they have had of late under Tim Sherwood, where they have won four of the last six matches played. Tottenham, to a large extent would also depend upon the services of Adebayor, who has been scoring important goals under Sherwood. It would be an intresting affair, when Adebayor is pitted against Terry and Cahill. Lennon, Townsend, Paulinho, Dembele are other key players for Tottenham, who could tilt the game in favour of the away side.
