But for all that people should appreciate the wealth generation and capitalism. But capitalism would induce high inequalities with shareholders benefiting maximum and poor minimum; this is the law of economics. If a society does not admit economic inequality then its standard of living may be low and all its talk about equality would be interpreted as its compulsion. There should always be reward for efficiency and entrepreneurship. The capitalist societies have higher chances of becoming more equal as compared to communist and socialist societies; equality and inequality go hand-in-hand. Being first producers is important for being equal.
Not only products' creation is important but product therapies are also important. Few examples may suffice: chairs should have same designs for comfort and they should be soothing for bones and muscles for all, though they need not have same wood or metal quality, computers should be as user-friendly as possible making consumers equal in many aspects even though those who are expert would utilize this user-friendly technologies maximum, equality of color and sound quality in televisions and so on. But one thing is certain that such chairs, computers and televisions would be costlier when first introduced in the markets. People need to pay more for equality with quality. Equality in certain aspects would increase innovation and produce better products for rich people. After a certain period of time equalities in newer features and newer products can again be sought and this process continues.
Therefore, equality comes by spending and innovation. Equality also comes by expansion of economies and strategic interests. The thing should be clear that all societies need to shred inertias; in this context replacing newer functionalities for old functionalities. The prices and wages should increase but not because of the inflation but because of improvement in technologies, features and quality of work. People should become multi-functional reducing the demands for imported labor. The ultimate tools for equality are automation, robotics and investment in renewable and recyclable technologies.
But the above is theory and applies specifically to the West, particularly to the US. In practice all can not become what is described above but still it is interesting to discuss equality in detail in various countries and regions.
In India the distribution is widest. The ability to learn newer things and adapt and change with time belong to the top 30% and 40% people. There are ever-dividing issues of castes, classes, region etc. Even the Anglicization and Westernization of Indian elites can not undo the caste and class-biases. Even after transforming the society from caste-based to ‘pseudo or quasi race-based’ the caste would be the dominant issue. Therefore, the argument of equality is only for vocal purpose. Indians do seek equality but with people above them, especially with foreigners. For internal people they accept the differences and those who are below them they would like to apply the ‘market’ and ‘bazaar’ rule. But in spite of all this Indian elites are generally good and generous people. The rule is almost same in the rest of the South Asia, including Pakistan. Equality in the South Asia is a political tool; to slaughter enemies within and take sides externally.
China is more equal society as compared to India but with increasing growth the gap between the rich and others is increasing. Chinese society can become equal to the extent possible by adapting Anglicization and Westernization without learning English and by becoming expert in sex. The sex can act as a universal anodyne against the ever increasing inequalities. Or else, Chinese can become more equal or remain at the same level by following communism in some sense even though that may be taxing on talented and efficient people and may harm their performance. Russia can become the most equal society outside the West if it becomes a democracy. This requires revolutions, particularly in political and sexual matters. Economic integration combined with consumerism would make Russians more equal. They need to accept their Whiteness and fairness and should join the WTO-regime.
In Saudi Arabia equality between Sunnis and Shittes is unthinkable and unimaginable. But even among the Sunnis the inequality is very high. The fact is that Saudis can become equal by following the purest Islam of early post-Mohammedan era; the Wahhabism and Salafism. Only thing is that it would increase the distance between the Arabs and the Westerners. Saudis also need to accept more sexual freedom inside their boundaries. This is true for almost all Middle Easterners and rest of the Arabs. The fact is that the equality is possible in the Rest, except economic one, by more liberalism, humanism and more sexual freedom. In Africa, the equality is possible only if there is high income generation and high taxation both not feasible and therefore, equality is not possible. It requires a dose of ‘racism’ in Africa among the Blacks to tune-in with the rest of the world; therefore, divisive issue of class becomes important.
In the US all equalities are possible, except economic one. The equality comes by wealth generation, changing the functionalities of the Americans and addition of certain products with flushing out and elimination of certain products. People should be lesser dependent on the state and entrepreneurship, talent, efficiency and skill should be rewarded. The tax rates should be low combined with lesser governance. The regulation should be lesser and effective. Americans should strive for increased growth, increased salaries, higher consumption and more investment and from these the net revenue collections should increase. Subsidies do not lead to equalities; they may increase the predation. Equality does not come from any redistribution mechanism.
Economic integration increases the asymmetries, inequalities, distinctions and differences. Growth is the compulsion of all societies but it does not come without increasing the income inequalities and other disparities. Without growth big and small nations, all alike, would become unstable and depressed in this high conscious era. Import is the compulsion of all classes of nations and not the obsessive compulsions of their elites. The West can become more equal because of the increased inequalities in the Rest. The West can invest in state, public and other infrastructures to decrease the inequalities.
Capitalism is consistent with global and local evolutions. It can take both commonalities and differences into account to make the best utilization of resources; human, natural and infrastructural. As much as the brain accepts and only when it is required should be the motto of the capitalists. Equality equations are very complex and are coupled ones and can not yield positive results unless inequalities, many of them un-removable, are taken into account. Ignoring them would mean writing wrong equations and ignoring reality. In the US all equalities except the economic ones are possible. But it requires the usage of machines, efforts, learning, spending, investing and expanding to actualize it.
