Based on reports, China's economic growth has surpassed that of Japan recently; though Japan is having less of population,perhaps one tenth of China's population, therefore Japan is still ahead on per capita growth. China's massive stimulus package last year seem to have got good results mainly through rapid appreciation in property prices.Though China's exports have not picked up, their domestic consumption has given the boost through the stimulus package. FromIndia's perspectives, except for software export earnings, India has not done much in other areas of exports. India has beenseeing growth mainly through domestic consumption. The fact remains, how long India can solely depend on domestic consumption? sooner or later, India has to be in the league of nations exporting products in a massive way. It is worthwhilementioning here a reference quote made by Mr. Adani of Adani Power in Gujarat, India is having the largest coastlineamong the coming of nations; therefore, India should explore ways and means of construction big ports all along thecoastline with good security through naval guards; for complementing these ports, big export oriented industrial parks, along these ports should also be constructed so that exporting goods from India becomes easy, simple and less costly.
