He said that the foundation stone for two BPOs, one in Jammu and one in Kashmir, would be laid within a fortnight. Adding, the company was eager to expand the business in the state to contribute in the development of J&K.
Zahoor said that while the two BPOs would provide atleast 4000 jobs initially, the same would be expanded very soon. He said that he visualises atleast 18000 jobs for the J&K youth from the company in the coming years.
Elaborating further he said that ESSAR was involved in the business of Power Plants, Infrastructure, Petrol Pumps and mobile phones. While the company has around 2000 outlets in the country and it plans atleast 10 outlets in the state with one outlet at each district headquarter.
Giving full credit to the young CM for quick approval of the company’s plans, he said the company would also take up power generation to tap the vast hydro power potential in the state, adding the company would go for bigger power plants in the state.
Zahoor said that the business expansion of the company in J&K would provide atleast 18000 jobs to youth from the BPO sector in the coming years as the strength of the BPOs would be increased gradually.
Saying that the company was pushing its plans in J&K for the last one year, he said while the attitude of the previous government was also positive but the implementation could not take place due to various reasons.
He said that after installation of the new government and appointment of a young Chief Minister, the developmental plans are being given green signal without wasting much time.
