AFTER ENGLAND drew their last game against France in the ongoing Euro 2012, they are now determined to defeat Sweden when they play later tonight at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev. Both the teams are under a lot of pressure to win the game. Sweden needs a victory to stay alive in the competition, as they lost their first match of the game against the co-hosts, Ukraine. England has been troubled by injuries even before they started their campaign. Lampard and Cahill were the casualties, who had to fly back home due to injuries. But, that should be no excuse for the English team, which boasts of the best players in the world. Players such as Terry, Gerrard, A. Young, and Carroll need no introduction, for they have proved themselves at various levels. Somehow, these players have been great individual players but has always failed to play as a team.

In their last game against France, England showed some glimpses of brilliance, but that was not enough to seal the game. Indeed, they must consider themsleves lucky not to have lost the game. On the other hand, Sweden was unlucky to lose against Ukraine, after Shevchenko scored twice to break Swedish fans and players hearts. But, this time they cannot afford to be careless and allow such things to happen.

Sweden, like England, have some great players in their ranks such as Martin Olsson, Rasmus Elm, Sebastian Larsson, Johan Elmander, and Zlatan Ibrahimovi?, to spoil the party for England. They are quality players, who, on a given day, can seriously test any team's defense. England would be praying that tonight is not their night. The Swedish players must be more determined to play a good game of football, after their loss against Ukraine.

The game for the both the nations is more or less a do or die situation. They have to win the match in order to increase their chances of progressing into the latter stages of the competition. With this in mind, the players are going to give their all, when they face off at the Olympic stadium. It is the neutral fans during the match who would benefit the most as there will be no compromise on the quality of football that is going to take place.
