Barcelona has been the best team in the La Liga this season, as they have not lost a single game in the season so far. They have accumulated 46 points, way clear of the second team in the championship, Atletico Madrid with 37 points only. One of the surprise elements of the league this season has been Real Madrid, which always maintained the top two positions, but not this time. Madrid are third in the standings table with 33 points and three losses to their name, which is uncharacteristic of the Real Madrid stars. After Barcelona won a hat-trick of titles in 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, it was Real Madrid, who won the title last season. If Madrid wants to come up with a repeat performance, then they need to wake up and play to their best and expect Barcelona to lose some games.
In the Serie A (Italy), Juventus has looked the best among all the teams with 41 points in the table in spite of losing two matches during the league. But the competition may not be tight for the top spot, but from the second to the fifth spot, there is a cut throat competition with only 2 points separating four teams namely, Inter Milan, Napoli, Lazio, Fiorentina, where they have 34, 33, 33 and 32 points in the standings table. It could be anyone's game as far as the second spot is concerned, but Juventus also cannot take things for granted as they are aware of the threat that teams below them possess in the title race. Juventus are the defending champions as well.
As far as the story of the Bundesliga goes, Bayern Munich seems to be in top form and it could be a very difficult task for any of the other teams to play catch up, as Munich has looked very impressive and eager to claim the title. Munich stands on top of the table with 42 points. Borussia Dortmund has won the last two editions of the league and it seems that the title is slipping away from their hands.
There is still lot to play for all the clubs in their respective domestic competitions, so none of the teams that are right at the top of the standings table can take it easily. They need to play with the same vigour and passion until the last day of the English premier League to win their respective prestigious domestic football competitions.
