Eve Plumb Maureen McCormick fight, reunion cancelled
The Brady Brunch reunion has been cancelled because former costars of hit TV show, Eve Plumb, who played the role of Jan, and her friction with Maureen McCormick, who played older sister Marcia, has still not ebbed down.
IT SEEMS as if forty years weren't enough for Jan's problems with Marcia to be resolved. Former costars of the hit TV show, The Brady Bunch, Eve Plumb, who played the role of Jan, and her friction with Maureen McCormick, who played older sister Marcia, ensured that the Brady Bunch cast reunion was cancelled at the last minute.
The feud between the stars who played onscreen sisters, didn't get over when the Brady Brunch episode on ABC got over. While their characters always got over their issues, the rivalry between the two was laid out into the open, when Maureen McCormick published her book Here's the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice.
The book included many unsavoury details about her onscreen sister. This coupled with her revelations about Eve Plumb in the last few years in several interviews and shows, particularly on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club and on Dr Phil's show haven't eased matters. The worst comment made by Maureeen McCormick, was that she had been in a lesbian relationship with Eve Plumb, a detail that she herself admitted later, was a joke.
Meanwhile, Eve Plumb has been rarely seen after the show ended in 1974. Though she did come on some reunion shows, including The Brady Brides, she has largely stayed out of the limelight in recent years.
The Brady Bunch fans had been hoping for the reunion to lead to a reconcilliation between the two, but it did not happen.
