Eve-teasing has became a social evil and females are getting victimised in all aspects of life. Even in its reports on Aarushi murder case the media is indulging in victimising the young girl who is no more
EVE-TEASING IS a rampant social evil. It is all pervasive — in beaches, roads, cinema halls, buses and sadly even in educational institutions. Women have landed on the moon; reached for the stars and touched them. They have proved themselves equal to men in every way. Yet every 51 minutes a woman is sexually harassed.
It’s a frequent practice during crowded festivals or on crowded public transport systems, for men to poke, prod, pinch, grab at any body part and otherwise physically harass women. It’s time women stood up and said: “Do not look at me like than or else I will hit back. Do you let men brush past you . Why do you ignore them when they say “kya maal hai”? Do you just move on without retaliating if they put their hand up your skirt in a crowded bus. Eve-teasing is not a victimless crime as it appears on paper. It has resulted in deaths, and when it goes unchecked could lead to public humiliation of women even in broad daylight. Schools and colleges could easily discipline students for such activities on the campus, but this only induces them to indulge in such acts outside the campus. Eve-teasing is not just a college girl’s problem, it leads to insecurity for parents and other loved ones.
If we take example of Aarushi, she was also a victim of eve-teasing and this time the media and police made her a victim of eve-teasing. The media and the police claimed that Aarushi’s e-mail and chatting details show that she was a very ’open- minded’ girl and questioned her character. Her physical relations with the middle-aged servant, Hemraj, were also questioned. They do not know what the truth is? Then how can we question Aarushi’s character? She is dead so it is our duty that we give her justice. The police and media have the responsibly to stop evils like eve-teasing but now they are becoming part of it. So please stop this eve-teasing.

.Its time we in India stopped calling this evil of sexual harrassment by the stupid term "eve teasing"...........the problem is serious and deep rooted and labbelling it as teasing is tantamount to trivialising the issue. No where else in the world this term used to describe the harrassment of the female gender.
Other than this issue of the label, your article is good.
