Ex-Arunachal Pradesh CM's wife withdraws SC plea seeking CBI probe into his suicide
Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul's wife Dangwimsai Pul withdrew her petition from the Supreme Court today seeking CBI probe into his suicide and the allegations levelled by him in his 60-page suicide note.

Kalikho Pul had left behind a 60-page signed suicide note in which he had alleged corruption in the highest level of judiciary, especially against "two senior most judges of the Supreme Court".

In her petition to Chief Justice of India JS Khehar, Dangwimsai has alleged that the Arunachal police had failed to take any action on the serious allegations of corruption against important politicians and SC judges named by her husband in his suicide note. Dangwimsai has demanded an impartial probe into the allegations levelled in the suicide note, either by the CBI or the National Investigation Agency.

CJI Khehar then ordered the registry to convert her complaint into a writ petition and list it for hearing in the open court before a bench headed by Justice Goel.

"His diary/suicide note contains many allegations of corruption in Arunachal Pradesh as well as kin the judiciary in particular against two senior most judges of the Supreme Court, who were parties to the judgment which quashed Presidents rule and led to the unseating of my husband," Dangwimsai had written in her complaint which was addressed to the Chief Justice of India.

While withdrawing her petition, Dangwimsai Pul said that she does not want the apex court to decide her matter as it "will lead to closure of other remedies".

On August 9 last year, Kalikho Pul had been found hanging in a bedroom of his official residence in the posh Niti Vihar area of the state capital Itanagar.
