The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) refinery in Visakhapatnam caught in fire with an explosion resulting two feared dead, more than 30 injured.
The injured are getting treatment nearby King George Hospital of the Government and Care hospital which is a corporate one. Some 15 workers are said to be missing. Though the early reports are having not a big number of causalities but workers of the company may fear of more. Injured are badly charred and they are struggling with life.
The fire incident was taken place in the CD-2 block and smoke spread for at least ten Kilometers. Fire Tenders are trying its best to put off the fire under control. The cooling tower which was under construction was flared up and the time of the incident nearly 200 workers are working according to the workers who escaped from the incident.
The big fire incident was taken place here in the year 1992 and at that time many people were died.
