Facebook stopped working: Gurgaon reacts
Facebook had an oops-daisies moment yesterday afternoon and the entire world became crazy. While the server-crash lasted for some 30 minutes, it felt like the globe was facing a power failure. Everyone was making a whole lot of noises- some making fun with #facebookdown while others followed it up with questions as to why it happened. While the whole mayhem was going on, we talked to a few people in Gurgaon to take their view as to what will happen if Facebook disappears from our lives.

A human resource employee said, ''First of all Facebook is already becoming passe in many first world country. But in India, if we really think, then it is going to pose a problem with us in our professional world, as we seek out a candidate through Facebook to do a background check. So in a world where Facebook is no more available, this would get difficult.''

Another person, who is a journalist denied that it is going to change much of our world. She said, ''Orkut got replaced. We adjusted with the change and moved on. I feel if and when we live in a world minus Facebook, it would be the same- it will go on and we would adjust.''

With the advancement of selfies and belfies and other fies, Facebook has definitely bought in the photograph revolution. People are conscious of the poses they give and picture have become an integral part of everyone's life. It was Facebook, which made us so conscious. Speaking like a true photographer, Abhishek Thapa, living in Gurgaon said, '' It would be the end of an era for sure. As for photography, it would be the end of selfies. I am sure Instagram would not be as popular as Facebook, since Instagram is more about quality than quantity and Facebook is always about quantity than quality.''

Navneet Singh, a girl who loves to gossip when questioned was aghast at the prospect. She said, ''How can you even think like that. It was a minor glitch and Facebook recovered. The world would literally stop without Facebook.'' The world would not stop but for some people, it just might.
