Facebook to cleanup fake 'likes'
Facebook fake likes gives business to a lot of corporate houses but this practice is going to slow down as the social network is on a cleanup mode. They want all fake 'likes' to go from Facebook.

THE SOCIAL networking sites are under the scanner as more and more controversies surrounding the virtual world come to the fore. While in India, thanks to some group of people, the government wants to restrict the networks, in other parts of the world, the social networking is posing many problems on a daily basis. To get rid of some of such problem Facebook itself has decided to take certain actions.

Facebook has decided to clean up all their fake 'likes' posted by spammers and people who seek business through it on the social networking site, reported zeenews. The Facebook security team also said, “We have recently increased our automated efforts to remove Likes on pages that may have been gained by means that violate our Facebook terms.”

According to the security department of Facebook, it is an automated effort whereby the site will on its own remove 'likes' that have been gained by malpractices, compromised accounts, deceived users or purchased bulk Likes. Further, they also said, “A Like that doesn’t come from someone truly interested in connecting with a page benefits no one.”

This would also help Facebook to maintain pages on the network and also give them a more accurate fan count number. It is likely that after the cleanup Facebook Likes on corporate pages would drop down by 1 percent.
