Facebook to go Orkut way in near future
Change, as we all know, is the only constant, and this philosophy seems to have entered the world of Facebook as well. Facebook. The report also said that details about people vacationing or who they are dating on Facebook are passé, and could be considered quite 'uncool' or close to bragging. Now the new generation views these people as hungry for attention and wannabes.
The second most important thing that can make Facebook obsolete is the constant effort one needs to put in to maintain a good virtual presence with funky pictures and cool one liners. All these things are actually a large amount of work. Tumblr, on the other hand, is more about one's interest and what one loves to do. Hence, it is a bloggers paradise and an easy way to meet like-minded people- which is the main motive of the virtual world.
Facebook lovers might not like it and scoff at the report but they should remember that even Orkut started as a big thing and a lot of hoopla went about for some time but eventually it died down. Now no one even asks if they have an Orkut account!
