Failure of CBI in Assam in old murder case
It is all about the negligence of the CBI in unearthing a major crime in Assam, for which a court in the state has directed the agency to do another investigation through reliable officers.

THE CBI has remarkably failed in Assam to unearth the truths in a slew of cases that led the common people lose their faith in the investigating agency. The lastest case of outright failure of the agency is the investigation of the murder of PC Ram, a top FCI official, who was allegedly killed in an encounter between security forces and rebells when Ram was under captivity of the latter in one Borka village in Kamrup district in Assam on July 7, 2007.

What adds sourness to the whole incudent is that the closure report of the CBI that it submitted after investigation has been challenged by Ram's son Praveen Kumar Gautam in court of Kamrup, Assam. The court in its primary reaction to the petition filed by Gautam directed the CBI on Friday to re-investigate the case by its realiable official as allegations of negligience to certain things related case has been found by the court as serious on the part of the investigating agency.

The CBI in its closure report declared its failure to detect the culprits on the pretext of having no reliable clues. But regular viewers of the TV channels in the state can recall even today the video fotage the channels floated about the horrendous crime after June 7 for a couple of days and the the impact of it in Assam police. Now that the CBI has not counted the footage as sufficient clues to reach the culprits - makes it easy to understand that the investigating agency is directed by some other motives rather than its quality service.
