Fashion designer Anand Jon gets life sentence
Anand Jon, 35, who designed for celebrities like Paris Hilton and Jack Jackson was sentenced to a minimum of 59 years for sexually assaulting aspiring models. Jon was found guilty of rape, sexual battery and of performing lascivious acts on a child.
LOS ANGELES Superior Court Judge David Wesley sentenced Anand Jon for a minimum of 59 years in prison for sexually assaulting aspiring models. Anand Jon, 35, who designed for Paris Hilton and Jack Jackson prior to his arrest in 2007, was found guilty of rape, sexual battery and of performing lascivious acts on a child.
According to reports, all these things started in 2001 when Jon set up a fashion design business and when he started to lure wannabe models some of whom were aged between 14 and 21 years. Some of his victims are expected to speak during the trial at the court.
The police gets involved in this case when one of his victims complained of sexual assault though Anand Jon denied the charges against him. Anand’s prosecutors claimed that the designer tempted aspiring models with promises of high-profile photo shoots and then raped them in his Beverly Hill apartment.
Anand Jon had been picked as one of the most famous South-Asians in 2004, by Newsweek magazine.

.Too bad, the celebrated designer got into a mess in the racially discriminating US! Had he done what he did there in India, with the type of money he has, our legal eagles and conscientious judiciary would have given him far better treatment than what the the Nanda brat got for using his BMW as a Holocaust mower!
