Since its inception in 2008, JD Institute of Fashion Technology has been involved in activities that provide exposure for its students. One such event named Tyohaar was recently organised.
JD INSTITUTE of Fashion Technology, Dibrugarh, a leading institute imparting education in the field of fashion and interior designing organised “TYOHAAR” an exhibition cum sale event in association with Lioness Club of Dibrugarh at their institute premises in Dibrugarh.
The event was organised in aid of Blessings - a centre for the mentally and physically handicapped people. The proceeds from the event were donated to Blessings. It was attended by students who are undergoing their training in the institute.
The visitors appreciated the various designer wear, mekhla chadar, jewellery and other household decorative items made by the students that were on display. Many well known socialites visited the exhibition and encouraged the students to strive hard to put Dibrugarh in the fashion map of the country.
Commenting on the occasion the Centre Director of the institute, Deepak Jain said that the event is primarily aimed to create a sense of social responsibility among the students and at the same time provide them a platform to showcase their skills. He further said that throughout the year at JD, they organize various events and shows to enhance students' performance to bring them at par with the latest trends.
