Father-son duo, chowkidar killed by Naxals
On Saturday (September 18), the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has killed Karpura Khora, 45 years and his son Bisu Khora, 22 years, native of Laxmani village under Kakiriguma police station limit (five kilometers from Kakiriguma police station).
KARPURA KHORA, a 45-year old man and his son Bisu Khora, 22 years, natives of Laxmani village under Kakiriguma police station limit (five kilometers from Kakiriguma police station) under Laxmipur block of Koraput district were killed at about 8.30 pm on Saturday (September 18) last. Before killing, the Communist Party of India (Maoist) organised a local court at around 7.30 pm, where a decision was taken to kill the duo.
 

The father-son duo were warned about three times earlier for not manufacturing country liquor and they were also warned to leave the tribal land which was under these people cultivated at Tala Meting village under Laxmipur block.

According to the source of information, about 30 to 40 CPI Maoists popularly known as Naxals were involved in this incident as per the pamphlets pasted near the incident. Even after 14-hours of the incident police failed to reach the spot out of fear of the Naxalites.


Meanwhile in another incident, a Gramrakshi identified as Lalit Hantal was killed in Khadikajhudi village under Orkel Police Station on Friday (September 17) night. Sources officials said over 50 armed Maoist arrived at Khadikajhudi village, 10 kilometers away from Border Security Force camp deployed for anti-Naxal operation.

 
Hantal was dragged from his house and was killed by the Maoists. Earlier, the Naxals warned him to stop working as chowkidar. This incident took place in Malkangiri district of Orissa.
