Overjoyed on becoming a father, Roger said, “I have some exciting news to share with all my fans. Last night, in Switzerland, Mirka and I became proud parents of twin girls.” He further added that he and his wife Mirka have decided to name their twin girl, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva. Unable to hide his excitement, Federer, who is also known as Fedex, said that it was the best day of his life and that he and his wife were ecstatic.     

Roger met his wife Mirka in the year 2000, while preparing for the Sydney Olympics. Mirka, who is Slovakian by birth, migrated to Switzerland with her family in the early eighties, owing to unrest in the Slovak region. Having been part of the professional circuit herself, Mirka is well aware of the various nuances of the game and after her own retirement, she took control of Roger’s various business deals and sporting engagements and assumed the role of his manager. She is also a motivating force for Roger who has broken many records in his tennis career and has won a record number of Grand Slam championships.
