Federer knocked out by Tsonga from Rogers Cup
It was yet another bad day for Roger Federer, who lost the match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the third round of Rogers Cup. It was his second lost to Tsonga as he lost previously during Wimbledon 2011 too. The sore line read 7-6 (7-3) 4-6 6-1.

ROGER FEDERER lost against the big serving Frenchman, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who is seeded thirteenth in the Rogers Cup. He reached the quarter finals of the competition with this victory at Montreal. The match finished with the score line 7-6 (7-3) 4-6 6-1 in favour of Tsonga during the third round of the competition. It was the same player who defeated Roger Federer in his favourite grand slam, Wimbledon 2011 in the month of June too. It seems Tsonga has understood his weak points to beat the player regularly.

Everyone was expecting this match to be played in high tempo and many experts had also seen it as a chance for Roger Federer to take revenge upon his Wimbledon defeat too.

But he once again succumbed at the hands of the big Frenchman. Roger only managed to win the second set of the game as he put up a decent performance during the set on the court.

The curtains closed for Roger Federer as he lost the final set of the game in a fascinating display of Tennis by the Frenchman. His performance was also appreciated by the crowd present during the match. The Frenchman definitely looked a better player on the court. The match is said to have been one of the best matches of the tournament so far. Unfortunately, Federer is on the losing side.

Federer was very quick to appreciate Tsonga’s good display on the court and said that Tsonga played some amazing shots during the game.
