Federer playing his 999th match on Sunday
Roger Federer will play his 999th match on Sunday against an Australian Bernard Tomic in the fourth round of Australian Open. The tennis legend has so far won 813 matches.

ROGER FEDERER followed his claim in Australian Open on Friday by beating the six-feet-tall Ivo Karlovic 7—6 , 7—5, 6—3. Now he plays his 999th match , the fourth round on Sunday.

Tennis world number 3, Federer will play against Australian teenager Bernard Tomic on Sunday in the fourth round of the Australian Open Grand Slam Tournament. It will be 999th match of the former World No. 1 Tennis hero. He has won 813 matches so far, out of the 998 matches he has played till Friday. What a great achievement.

Federer after winning the match said that he does not have the experience of 1000th matches. " I am feeling good as a professional player so far; I am not aware whether after 1000th match I will be able to play yet another 1000 matches but looking at the numbers of the matches played it looks that I have played enough Tennis. I want to play for a longer period.”

So far the hundreds are concerned there had been 227 matches in which he reached to finals and they were extended to 3rd or 5th rounds/ sets. Watching playing Federer at the nets is very amazing and cheerful.  He is very quiet and sober at the nets. We wish Federer wins his 1000th match of the 1st Grand Slam of the Year 2012 and win the title too.
