Few tips for the parents whose children are moving outstation
Well, this is the season of a lot of anxiety for thousands of concerned parents whose children have either passed SSC or have finished their college degree. Obviously, till the time their children are suitably accommodated for pursuing graduation in the desired stream, the parents will be running on their toes. Even after admission, the mode of daily conveyance and arranging suitable paying guest accommodation, are a few other areas where parents are always concerned.
Even getting a bank account opened in a new city and arranging necessary things for daily needs becomes a difficult mission to accomplish. For this, a parent must ensure that a substantial balance is always available with a child to meet with any contingency. Especially, getting a trustworthy family to act as local guardian becomes a challenging task. In most of the cases, it is seen that parents find themselves in a fix whether to opt for hostel in case the institute is in a far off location. They also want to save the time of their child which may be wasted in commuting to and from the institute.

But very often, the food provided in the mess of the hostel proves to be of average standard and normally the children who are habitual of eating homemade food do not relish it. Thus, many students go for a paying guest facility even if the same is located far off from the institute. As an alternative, very often, a group of students hire a flat or room on rent and arrange a maid to cook for them. In this case, they feel secure and enjoy company of the fellow students and the feeling of home sickness does not occur.

But while trying the most suitable option, all the parents must ensure that the room mates are really trustworthy and are not indulged in vice habits like smoking and drinking. Also, one should prefer to form a group belonging to a similar background so as no one has to face an alien environment. Parents must ask their children to share any problem while staying away from home, so that nothing hampers their studies. Parents should also ensure that the accommodation has easy access to hospitals, malls etc.

Also, parents must impress upon their children that they need to focus totally on their studies and should not indulge in any unwarranted activity. Rather, the child should be encouraged by the parents to participate in the extracurricular activities such as debates or group discussions. The children should always try to pre-plan home trips according to holidays available.

In many of the reputed institutes, good sports facilities are provided and children should be joining them. This will not only enhance their capability and fitness but also give them the much required essence of the magical outcome of good team work. While actively participating in many functional forums, the child can improve his or her communication skill, which is a very important element of the corporate culture.

Also, the child should be advised to attend a number of training sessions or workshops, be it for the enhancement of their IT skill or proficiency in language.

Last but not the least, I personally feel that the children should be encouraged to spend some time in the library as they will have access to a number of magazines and journals that will help in deviating their attention from the monotonous syllabus. It will also enhance their level of general awareness which has its own importance in the way of progression in the corporate world.

I strongly believe by following the above few tips, a comprehensive personality development can be achieved, which has become the most valuable mantra for scaling success in the life.
