FIFA World Cup 2018: England gets knocked out in second semi-final
On 11th July, with Croatia's 2–1 (aet) victory over England in FIFA World Cup 2018, the football fans in England were shocked, dismayed and despaired due to their national team loosing the match with initial great start. Since Croatia has reached the World Cup final for the first time, the fans went jubilant in the country.

The match was played at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow where spectator attendance was an estimated 78 thousands. The match referee was Cuneyt Cakir of Turkey.

The football fans in England were in high spirits when their country led over Croatia by 1-0 at halftime when Trippier of England scored the first goal at 5th minute of the play. However, in the second half Croatia's equaliser came with a goal by Ivan Perisic at 68th minute of the play. However, Croatia forged ahead into the contest to win in extra time with a goal by Mandzukic at the 109th minutes of the play.

It was the spectacular and stunning display of play from Croatia's team who endured three extra times to reach the finals. The third place play-off will take place as the 63rd match of the tournament between Belgium and England.

Now, Croatia will play France in the final match at the Luzhniki on Sunday.
