FIFA World Cup: Brazil Vs Mexico
Two nations Brazil and Mexico, fresh from their victory against Croatia and Cameroon respectively are going to face one another in their Group A encounter later today at Estadio Castelao Fortaleza. Brazil remains to be one of the favourties to not only top the group, but also win the competition, while Mexico, Cameroon and Croatia might have to fight it out for the second spot to progress further in the competition.

Though, Brazil defeated Croatia 3-1 in the first match of the competition, but they were far from their best. Many claimed if Brazil are to win the title, they need to improve their game on several fronts, while Mexico played a good game against Cameroon, which they won 1-0, though they should have won the game by atleast two clear goals.

The Mexicans are aware of the threat Brazil possesses with the strong Brazilian crowd supporting the home team. Mexico might not possess a number of stars like the Brazilian side, but they too have players who could pose a threat to Brazil, which includes Giovani Dos Santos, wing backs, Hector Herrera and Oribe Peralta. But, all their players need to come up good to defeat Brazil, else it is not fair to rely on three players.

But, it is Brazil's quality in the squad, which makes them a strong unit. Players such as Neymar, Fred, Hulk, Alaves, Paulinho etc terrorise their opponents with their skillful display. Though, the team might be forced to change their forward line with Hulk suffering a left leg injury, but it should not be a cause of concern for Scolari, as he has plenty of class in his squad for replacement. Bernard could be an ideal replacement for Hulk.

But, with Mexico having an impressive track record against Brazil, the hosts are not going to take them lightly, for Mexico has always proved to be a tough ask, as they have defeated Brazil seven times in the last 13 meetings, which is a significant number. Mexico also clinched the gold medal away from Brazil in the 2012 Olympic Games. But, Brazil could take confidence from their win in the last confederations cup, where they defeated Mexico 2-0.

But, there is higher stake in the competition this time around as it is the prestigious world cup, where Brazil is under tremendous pressure to win the title.
