FIFA World Cup quarter final: France vs Germany
European giants, France and Germany would be at loggerheads later tonight, when they play the first quarter finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Both teams have looked strong enough so far, though, their route to the final eight has not been an easy one with some tough matches in their last few fixtures. The same can be expected in tonight's cliffhanger as well.

Though, Germany defeated Algeria in the pre-quarters, but they looked far from convincing. Algeria came up with a brilliant game, only to be failed by a close scoreline of 2-1. Though, France, as well, defeated Nigeria, but not until, they were scared by the African nation.

The Germans would pose as the strongest test for the French side, who have come out of an easy group, which included Hondarus, Switzerland and Ecuador compared to Germany, who were in a tough group, comprising of Portugal, the USA and Ghana.

Both teams possesses quality players in their squad.

The Germans have all the areas covered and are considered by many as favourites for the tournament, not only tonight's game. Germany would need some of their crucial players such as Lahm, Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Schweinsteiger to come up with their class A game. The French are no different when it comes to their depth and quality in squad with players such as Benzema, Paul Pogba in their line up.

Though, both teams may have a fantastic attacking line, but it is their defensive line, which may be a cause of worry. Hence, it would not be surprising if the game results in a high scoring one.

The winner for tonight's fixture will play the victorious team from the Brazil and Colombia fixture. Many claim that it is going to be a Germany versus Brazil semi-finals, but it would be wrong to count out either France or Colombia without the ball being kicked in the game.
