FIFA World Cup Semi-Final: Brazil Vs Germany
Brazil, the hosts and one of the favourites for the 2014 world cup is set to take another favourites of the competition, Germany in the semi-finals later tonight at Estadio Mineirao, Belo Horizonte. Both teams have a similar record in the prestigious event with four wins and a draw each.

Brazil have been dealt a major blow, as their two key players, Theigo Silva and Neymar would not be available for selection against Germany, while the former was injured during his last game, and the latter was yellow carded in the last game, hence suspended for the game.

It is Neymar's absence, which would be hurting Brazil more, for he was not only the poster boy amongst his fans, but a crucial player for Brazil as well. He has been brilliant for Brazil scoring goals and providing assists as well. His presence instills fear amongst defenders, as he has the pace and skill to run at defenders and defeat them to the goal.

Other players such as Fred, Hulk, Willian need to perform better than what they have done so far. They need to exploit Germany's defense, which has not looked good so far as they have only let in three goals so far in the tournament.

Germany on the other hand would be optimistic about their chances with such Brazilian players being out of action. Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze, Podolski, Mesut Ozil would play an important role for the Germans as well. They have offensive players in their line up, which can split upon the Brazilian defense that might look weak in their skipper's absence. It is time for David Luiz to play as the main defender in the team.

May be, this time Brazil would also need their supporters in the stadium to act as the 12th man and pressurise the Germans with their vocal support. The winner of the clash will play the winner of the other semi-final between Argentina and Netherlands for the coveted trophy.
