THE 55th Filmfare Awards were announced recently and a expected Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots grabbed some popular trophies that included Best director, Best story, Best screenplay, Best dialogues, Best supporting Actor and Best Film Award.

It is to be noted here that Filmfare instead of presenting Best debutant –Actor/Actress Award felt the directorial nerve and switched to Award the Directors.
In the music list A R Rahman continued his golden run with –Best Musical Score Award for Rakesh Mehra’s Delhi 6. The film also won –Best Playback Singer Award(Male) in credit of Mohit Chauhan for Popular number-Massakalli and shared Best Playback (Female) for Rekha Bhardwaj ( Gendaa phool) with Kavita seth ( Ek Tara) for Wake Up Sid.The Filmfare Awards are given to recognize and promote Indian Cinema worldwide.
