The craze for TV is equally high as is the craze for films. Although films are big budget and require a big crew even in television programmes the manner of production is almost the same
THERE WAS never a fight between the big and small screens but the increasing number of TV channels has started this battle. There was a time when there were very few TV programmes and there was a single channel the Door Darshan but now many channels have come as the Indian media industry is booming.
TV is no small thing these days. The craze for TV is equally high as is the craze for films. Although films are big budget and require a big crew even in television programmes the manner of production is almost the same. Television is also offering different types of programme formats like serials, soap operas, documentaries films, short films etc. So every age group of the audience can find something to his/her taste.
There are many production houses in Delhi and Mumbai, which are making films and TV programmes for different channels and directors. TV also has an advantage of commercial advertisements as they are not just a source of income for the channels but also promote advertisements.
