Financial aid to injured journalist in Assam
The Director of Information and Public Relations, Government of Assam, Ranjit Gogoi handed over a cheque of Rs. 25,000 to injured cameraperson of a local private TV channel Raj Kumar Sahu at Gauhati Medical College, Bhangagarh on August 30, 2012.
THE DIRECTOR of Information and Public Relations, Government of Assam, Ranjit Gogoi, today gave a cheque worth Rs. 25,000 (twenty five thousand) to injured journalist Raj Kumar Sahu at Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Bhangagarh. Sri Gogoi handed over the said cheque on behalf of the Information and Public Relations Department and the Minister of the same Department, Basanta Das.

It may be mentioned that the injured cameraperson is at present undergoing treatment at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
