FIR lodged against TVF founder Arunabh Kumar on charges of sexual harassment
Two weeks after allegations of sexual harassment surfaced on social media against The Viral Fever (TVF) founder Arunabh Kumar, an FIR has been lodged against him.

The complaint was filed on Tuesday evening by a director who had worked with TVF on two shows.

"We have received a complaint from a woman and an FIR has been registered under section 354 (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC against Arunabh Kumar," HT quoted a police official.

In a post on the social media, the director had alleged that while she was working with Kumar at the TVF office, Kumar had "found various ways to inappropriately touch her."

DNA quoted senior inspector Shailesh Pasalwar as saying, "An FIR has been registered against Kumar. The case is under investigation." Kumar has been booked under sections 354 (molestation) and 509 (threatening).

The beginning of the case was with "Indian Fowler" posting her story of molestation at TVF at the hands of Kumar on social media. Later, several other women shared similar stories of being sexually harassed by Kumar.

Kumar had earlier refuted the allegations as baseless, and said in case they were true, the one who has levelled the allegations should come forward and file a police complaint.

TVF had also denied all the allegations and said it would "leave no stone unturned to find the author of the article and bring them to severe justice for making such false allegations."

"We take a lot of pride in our team and in making TVF a safe workplace that is equally comfortable for women and men. We will leave no stone unturned to find the author of the article and bring them to severe justice for making such false allegations," the company had said in a statemenrt.

But now, when a police complaint has been filed against him, according to the police, Kumar has been untraceable for a few days.
