At last Spring is almost upon us with the first official day bring March 20. This year the clocks will go ahead an hour at 2am on March 14, 6 days before Spring starts.
 
At last Spring is almost upon us with the first official day bring March 20. In the Northern Hemisphere it is known as the Vernal Equinox. Although the nights are still plesant and cool, the weather is slowly heading in the right direction and the daylight savings time 2010 will being very soon.
 
March is always associated with Spring season. People have been asking when is the first day of spring in 2010? In US and Canada, daylight saving time always begins on the 2nd Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November. So the first day of spring in 2010 is March 20.
 
This year the clocks will go ahead an hour at 2am on March 14, 6 days before Spring starts. Since 2007, daylight savings time begins on the 2nd Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November.

Spring Equinox is March 20.

 
First Day of Summer: Summer Solstice – longest day of the year is June 21.

First Day of Winter: Winter Solstice – shortest day of the year is December 21.
