First look of 3 Idiots: Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman

Today at an event in Mumbai's five star hotel, bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi unvieled the first look of their upcoming movie 3 idiots. The movie is based on author Chetan Bhagat's best selling fiction Five point someone.

THE MUCH awaited Aamir Khan's 3 idiots is scheduled to be released this Christmas on December 25. Today, November 6, at an event in Mumbai's five star hotel, bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi unveiled the first look of their upcoming movie 3 idiots. The movie is based on author Chetan Bhagat's best selling fiction Five Point Someone.

Addressing the media, while unveiling the maiden look of the film, Aamir said that the film is inspired from individuals, who are considered to be idiots for working on certain causes, but in the end make a mark, changing a lot in the society. He said that there are a lot many people like this in history, who when first seen, one feels amused but later realises that they are doing the right things. He added that idiots are thought to be very normal persons but at some point of time, they prove themselves to be someone with extra calibre and they are not stupid but just come to limelight in an unconventional way. Lastly he said that thus the tag line of the movie has been kept as, "Don't be stupid, be an idiot."

The movie 3 Idiots is a story of three engineering students and their on campus experiences. The story revolves around these three friends, whose dismal grade point averages at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) influenced their friendship, love life and career choice.

Aamir plays the role of Rancho, a young free spirited man and ever confused about kissing. In the past, Aamir has performed roles of a college student in movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti and now once again he would be seen playing the role of a college student in his film, 3 Idiots.

R Madhavan who has worked with Aamir in Rang De Basanti, will be seen playing the character of Farhan Qureshi, who willingly goes on the wrong path making him look like an idiot in the film. He said, "My name is Farhan Akhtar… Farhan Qureshi. This is my idiocracy. I love animals a lot and there is an adage in English ''Barking up the wrong tree''. So, I am like that always walking upon the wrong path with full enthusiasm."

Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani play important roles in the movie, with Kajol also featuring as a special guest in the film. The campus shown in the film is of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A).

The movie promises a lot of entertainment, comedy and drama this Christmas. Surely must be a must watch movie for all age groups.
