First of its kind helipad to be set up in Gurgaon
Gurgaon is set to have a heliport hub, which would cater to the services of air ambulance and disaster management. It has been reported that the aviation company of KP Private Limited will play an important role in this plan. A permanent helipad and control operation room has been suggested by the company.

To deal with emergencies, a helicopter would be made available twenty four hours. It may be very useful in disaster (earthquakes, flood, fire etc.) affected areas for rescuing people. For medical services, the chopper would be used as an air ambulance and help carry patients immediately from one place to another without wasting time.

While discussing about the proposal on Monday, Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner, Shekhar Vidharthy asked HUDA and MCG to come up with a specific place in Gurgaon to set a heliport hub. He further added that such kind of heliport hub will prove to be beneficial for Gurgaon owing to the number of high rises in the city.

On behalf of KP Aviation Company, Sanjay Singh, Chief Operating Officer, said that the helipad hub may be set along with NH-8 and KMP Expressway and would be the first of its kind in India. "For disaster management, air ambulance, police patrolling and media coverage of a disaster, the services of helicopter will be provided free-of-cost," said Singh, a retired army officer who was awarded Vishishth Sewa medal for evacuating people during floods in Bihar in 2008, reported Hindustan Times.
