First understand then publicise the policies: Mandip Brar
At the concluding ceremony of a workshop in Kurukshetra, district administration head has called upon workers to update themselves with the policies and plans of government and then reach out to people for effective publicity.

DEPUTY COMMISSIONER Mandip Singh Brar called upon the Bhajan Mandalis and block publicity workers to update themselves with policies and plans of Haryana govt. for their effective publicity among the people of the state. Brar was addressing the PR field staff on the concluding day of three-day workshop organised in Multi Art Cultural Centre here today. Brar also focused on how to take development and policy programs as a capsule of publicity in the form of folk media presentation.

Brar said the role of such workshop should be very clear and practical to impart short training with the help of resource persons. He clarified that the publicity workers might understand that they should be well versed with the day to day incidents, as message needed to be reshaped accordingly which were a dire need. For the government machinery, publicity unit is a tool, face, ears and eyes of a democratic set-up, which can play vital role in the implementation of schemes as an opinion maker. He also directed the folk media to play role to shun the social evils and create awareness among the people.

Deputy Director Public Relations, Dr. Kuldeep Saini said that the motive of the workshop was to update the skills of the publicity workers and Bhajan Mandalis. He said more workshops would be organized for PR field staff in the Multi Art Cultural Centre in future.

The District Information and Public Relations Officer Mr. Dev Raj Sirohiwall said that without considering the classification of audience, it is not possible to disseminate the real message in effective manner. The demonstration of effective dialogues by the presenter or performer depended upon the word power and knowledge with good parlance and clear voice using mike as per parameter.

A mediaperson, Sourabh Choudhry also shared his worldwide experiences regarding folk media and classification of audience. The performer himself is his master when facing the public; he needs sharp eyes and ears. Mr. Vishav Deepak Trikha, Deputy Director Multi Art Cultural Centre (MACC) exchanged the views and shared theatre cum dramatic issues.
