Five-day Bharat Parv being organized at Delhi's Red Fort as part of Republic Day celebrations
Like last year, 'Bharat Parv' festival is being organised at the Red Fort in Delhi this year too, from January 26 to 31, to arouse patriotic fervour and showcase India's vibrant cultural diversity.

Bharat Parv festival will be organised by the Ministry of Tourism to present the cuisine, ethnic heritage and culture of different states of India to the visitors.

Last year, the display of cultural and ethnic heritage of the country which included cuisine, handicrafts, art work, etc., on the Red Fort lawns was a great hit and this year the duration of the event has been increased to five days as a part of Republic Day celebrations.

Last year, the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) had set up eatery stalls along with various hotel management institutes to serve a large variety of Indian cuisine.

The event will be marked by cultural performances, folk music, tribal dances. Special musical programmes will be organized along with the performances by Armed Forces' bands. The entry to the event has been kept free, but the visitors would have to show a valid ID proof.

However, this year, unprecedented security arrangements have been made to ward off threats by the terror groups during the Republic Day celebrations and various related events.
